Launch of nature theme space – at „Simion Mehedinți” High School

Our national project “Activating future leaders for nature protection”is moving forward with the launch of nature themed spaces in partnership with the high schools.

At the end of April 2023, the students from „Simion Mehedinți” High School, Vidra were the first to install and use, in their building, the space dedicated to the partnership with Putna Vrancea Nature Park.

This will be the place handed down, from generation to generation, to the students of Vidra to be permanently connected with the Park.

The interactive, customisable screen is an innovative and easy learning tool. It can also be a very quick way to flag up various events or even incidents happening in the community or park.

The inauguration event was attended by students from the working group, those who helped create the space, their colleagues and representatives from the Putna Vrancea Nature Park, teachers and high school representatives.

The project is part of the management approach strategy of Propark – through which we support national and nature parks in Romania in increasing the capacity of nature education programmes.

The project „Activating Future Leaders for Nature Protection” is implemented with the financial support of Active Citizens Fund – Romania programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants Grants 2014 -2021.
